This photo has nothing to do with the event I was kindly asked to moderate today at the Paley Center in Beverly Hills where the annual Edelman survey on Social Entertainment was unveiled. (The results: social networking is seen as entertainment, and media companies are far less trusted than technologies companies by the general public.)
But how could I resist taking a picture of what greeted us in the lobby when we arrived for breakfast: the iconic Marilyn dress which is up for auction (thanks to Debbie Reynolds, who collected it and a zillion other amazing pieces of Hollywood costume memorabilia.) Asking price: 1-2 million dollars (I’m sure if you wanted to pay more they’d take it.)
If you’re local, go see the collection.
