Plummer Park, @WestHollywood Library, and the Women’s Auxiliary Book Club

Thanks to Susan Anderson at the West Hollywood Library and her generous enthusiasm for the book, last night I talked with the members of the Women’s Auxiliary Book Club in the gorgeous rec center at Plummer Park, a hidden gem off busy Santa Monica Blvd.

They’d read Radio Shangri-La and had wonderful, thoughtful questions about a place at least one of lady confessed she didn’t know or care about before the book. A dialogue ensued among several people (including Susan) who’d done service work in other parts of the world, and about the changing roles of women. It was an author’s dream come true!
