Max Follmer’s interview with me on Take Part:
I really liked the interview. My reactions to a visit last year to Bhutan are
much the same. I was particularly impressed with the children on the way to school in the morning. In their little uniforms, they held hands and sang
together. The children in the middle and upper schools, too, showed how, shall I say, happy they are.
Your library work there reminds me of a trip I took this past year to Haiti
after the earthquake. My missin was to bring books to children in the hilly regions, on “Fred,” a donkey who also loved children.
