Jakar, Bumthang, Bhutan

We survived a most harrowing ride this morning from Mongar after a sad farewell and have arrived at our stopping point for the night. Lovely stop in Ura to visit Kesa of the READ library again, where we also met up very briefly with our old friend Karma Yangzom, the brainchild behind BioBhutan products that I love so much.

Three good things:

Sangay the driver’s skill with the harrowing rain, mud, and cliffs
The otherwise lovely randomness of the roads when you meet up with friends, and the general pace here The warmth of the stove heating this room where we’ll spend the night
